Hello, thank you for purchasing from VE DESIGNS. Please contact us at 719-761-4012 or vivianestelledesigns@gmail.com to coordinate shipping. All shipping is arranged and paid by the Buyer to a third party shipper.  Price is exclusive of packing and shipping fees. White Glove Shipping is recommended for all clocks.  VE DESIGNS LLC is not responsible for any damage incurred during transport. 

 

SALES TAX

Texas sales tax is due on each item except upon receipt of a valid Sellers Registration/Tax Certificate or if the object is being professionally shipped out of Texas.

 

DISCLAIMER

We sell our clocks "as is" with their original clockwork mechanisms to preserve their unique history. However, these mechanisms are not like the precision-made ones found in English longcase clocks of the same period. Mora clockworks are simple, almost rudimentary, and rely on gravity, with two large lead weights driving the hands and triggering a single or double bell chime. Unfortunately, their crude and agricultural design makes them difficult to maintain and keep running over time.

    The passage of time has further complicated matters, as these mechanisms are notoriously challenging to set up and maintain. Even slight changes in humidity or temperature can cause the wooden body to slightly expand and constrict, leading to the clock stopping. Dust accumulation, accidental knocks, or other disturbances can easily disrupt their operation as well. Given the scarcity of skilled horologists—who are often expensive, have long waiting lists, and are difficult to find—we cannot guarantee that these clocks will continue to run reliably.

    Our clients enjoy these wonderful treasures as the timeworn art pieces that they are in their homes. However, we can quartz the clock to keep perfect time, for an additional cost. The original hands are too heavy to carry the quartz movement, so they would be changed to hands, similar in style. Please feel free to contact us for more information.

 

RETURNS: All sales are final. VE DESIGNS LLC is not required to offer refunds, reduction in price, or accept returns. At VE DESIGNS LLC’s sole discretion, VE DESIGNS may offer a refund, reduction in price, or a return. No refunds, reductions, returns or damaged goods will be accepted without a written return authorization issued by a VE DESIGNS representative. Returns are subject to a 35% handling/restocking charge, except for goods shipped–in–error. Store credit will be issued for any authorized returns, refunds, or reductions in price.
